Show Mrs. A. C. Fulford. Here she cave birth to a baby boy two weeks ago, the baby being born with the smallpox, small-pox, the mother also taking the disease. Mrs. Fulford attended to them while her husband waited on the patients of the other household. Just prior to this last illness all the children were sick with scarlatina. Both Mrs. Fulford and Mrs.Chris-tofferson Mrs.Chris-tofferson are daughters of Mrs. A. B. Sidwell of Manti. A letter received re-ceived a few days ago stated that all the sick ones are getting along quite nicely. Anderson appointed in his place, and unanimously sustained by the members of the quorum. At the meeting last evening President Westenskow was presented with an arm-chair as a token of the esteem in which he is. held by the members mem-bers of the quorum. President W7estenskow gave a short account Funeral services over the remains of Ilelma, the 12-year-old daughter daugh-ter of John P. Dyreng of Lehi, were held in this city last Thursday, Thurs-day, the remains being buried .in the city cemetery beside the girl's mother. The deceased had been a sufferer from heart trouble and her death was quite sudden and unexpected. un-expected. A large number of family friends were entertained at dinner at the home of Bishop Wm. T. Reid on Tuesday, the Gth inst., the occasion being in honor of the birthday anniversary an-niversary of the Bishop's sister, Mrs. Eliza Stewart, who attained her 90th year of. age on that day. It was a very happy gathering. Mrs. Stewart has and is still enjoying enjoy-ing remarkably good health for one of her years. The condition of Mrs. Georo-eE. Bench, Jr., at the hour of going to J. B. Crawford of Orangeville, is visiting family relatives in this city, and is staying at the home of his brother, W. W. Crawford. The mothers' section of the Ladies' La-dies' Literary Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Lucy Peacock Monday, 12th inst., at 3 p. m. All interested are invited. The entire family of Niels Jen-son Jen-son of Boise, Idaho, with the exception ex-ception of Mr. Jenson, have been down with the smallpox. They are all about recovered at this time. A few days ago the child contracted a cold which quickly developed into bronchial bron-chial pneumonia, and it died Wednesday Wed-nesday night. The home being under quarantine the. funeral will be private. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their affliction. The family of Hans Christoffer-son Christoffer-son of La Grande, Oregon, former residents of Manti, have had a serious se-rious time of it lately, but all are now on the road to recovery. Mr. Christofferson had an atxoravated on case of the mumps and one of the children was taken down with diphtheria. diph-theria. The home was quarantined and Mrs. Christofferson, expecting to be confined, was removed across the street to the home of her sister, Miss Clarice Bench returned home New Year's day from a six months stay at Oakley, Summit county. She was accompanied by her cousins, Miss Clara Ilortin and Miss Laura Stevens, who will visit here for a short time. Mrs. John Reid arrived Monday from Oregon, and is staying at the home of Mrs. Jane Reid. She is suffering from asthma and of late her health has been quite poorly. She will visit here and in Castle Valley for the next few months, in the hope that the change of climate will restore her to her former good health.
