Show I QVICK TRIT FOK JVAILS his story was told by Mr Baker of bcolate fame Some years ago In ton he had a man In his employ the name of Tim Reardon who was psldered a handy man with tools Mr Baker was walking through yard one day ho noticed that thb agles on the gable end of ono of buildings had blown away Seeing m he called him and asked him If j could replace the shingles IOt course I can said Tim Ami Immediately erected a temporary pglng to work on some thirty feet Kb KbMe got his hatchet and shUigles and pt up on the staging He had been but a short time however when tripped and fell to the ground which luckily was soft end he had no bones broken but was stunned While he was lying there some one Informed Mr Baler of the accident and he went immediately to see Tim who had Just opened his eyes Ho asked Tim If he was hurt and how he came to fall Tim answered I dont know Mr Baker I tripped on something up there But he added ad-ded It doesnt make much differ enco sure I had to come down for some nails anyhow to Wlicreupon Mr Baker trying keep n straight face remarked Well Tim I like to bee a man do a tiling quickly but the next time you want nails I prefer that you come down on the ladder even If It takes a littl more tlmeDoston Herald J |
