Show Birthday Party The McKell home in the Fourth atd was the scene of a joyous gather Wednesday afternoon on the occasi of the seventieth anniversary of bf 4 Elizabeth McKells birth The large 1 1 e house which was constructed years ago and stands today a monument to the thrift of the late Robert W McKelL was filled with sons and daughters their wives and husbands grand children child-ren and great grand children Who had assembled to pay the tribute of lovir hearts to one of Gods noblest creation a Through the spacious rooms during the afternoon and evening resound the merry laughter ol happy children who were all proud of calling the aged guest of honor grandma About 6 oclock a grand dinner was served and sallies of wit and humor livened up the hour of repast An entertaining program of shoe speeches and recitations songs las given in the evening and children and grand children vied with each other in saying complimentary things about grandma The boquets of speech were not left until the ringing down of the curtain of life and grandma Was made to feel that she was enshrined forever in the hearts of those present What happy thoughts must have t1a bcd b-cd her mind she through as gazed at the numerous fruit of the good old family fam-ily tree Only they who have suffered much and struggled hard for loved ones sake can measure the depth of feeling which brought the tears to grandmas eyes as she thanked all for their presence She was the recipient of a number of valuable gifts Mrs McKell has been blessed with 11 children 55 grand children and 7 great grand children There certainly Isno race suicide here Mr and Mrs Win B Huges Mr and Mrs Wm M Hughes and Mrs Albert G Brockbank were down from Salt Lake City to attend the birthday I party |
