Show HAPPY BIRTHDAY- 51 YEARS OLD! Yesterday wai the birthday of the' oldest business establish ment in Bingham Canyon, the Bingham Bulletin, founded on June S, 1891. Ed K. Watts, now of Puyal-lup. Puyal-lup. Wash., a young Missouri printer, was the first editor of the Bulletin. His message to the paper on the fiftieth an niversary was a complimentary approval of a useful community commu-nity institution. He wrote: ' "Congratulations, Bulletin, on your fiftieth Birthday anniversary. an-niversary. Fifty years of faithful praiseworthy service to Bingham patrons and West Mountain Mining district-Fifty district-Fifty years heralding timely news and glad tidings, of continuous con-tinuous progress in your fortunate for-tunate locality, now known to be unrivaled in various mineral miner-al deposits and as the 'Biggest Copper Camp In the World'. "May continued good fortune be with you and my Bingham friends, old and new. to whom ' I presented Volume 1, Number 1, on June 5, 1891". |
