Mm It is a pleasure to call the at tention of the citizens to the res olution passed by the last Legisla tore proposing an amendment to Section 2, Article 10, of the Con etitution, relating to education, whiob ia to be voted upon at the coming November election. The amendment is as follows: "Provided, that when any cities or districts shall establish high e sohools the Legislature may the use of State School funds to assiet in supporting suoh schools Said funds to be apportioned to the cities and districts by the State Board of education." If the foregoing amendment is voted it will make it bo that our six Utah County high schools may receive aid out of the State School fund. Thereby our local district taxes, for the support of the high autb-oriz- schools, will be decreased and the State money be sent oat to assist local high schools. The proposition is is simply to assist us locally, and to aid parents to educate their children at home rather than send them to the uni versities, for a high school educa tion.
