Show HOLIDAY REQUESTED FOR EX-SERVICE MEN i ' i Governor Bamberger yesterday issued an appeal to all employers of returned soldiers, sailors or marines to release them for the celebration at the state fair grounds today. The appeal follows: , "To Ail Kmployers: "The people of the state, through the 1 thirteenth legislature in regular session, ! expressed a desire to extend an official ' welcome to our boys of Utah who an- I swereel the call to the colors and who have been permitted to return to us. "In an effort to carry out tne expressed desire of the people, a reunion for returned re-turned service men, extending through October '8, 9 and 10, has been arranged at Salt Lake, and an extensive program outlined at the state fair grounds for Thursday afternoon, October 9. To aid in making the event a success, I would respectfully urge every employer to put forth special effort to relieve returned service men so as to permit them to participate par-ticipate in the program Thursday afternoon. after-noon.
