Show OUR TURN TO HELP. The Salvation Army home service drive is lagging. The amount asked of the good people of Salt Lake City and county, $75,000, is comparatively small and it should be raised without any great amount of difficulty. When the war was on and our boys were in the trenches in France, the Salvation Army lasses and tho men who lend a helping hand to the poor and unfortunate in time of peace, were up at the front with the fighting men. They aided our boys in every way possible at the risk of their lives, and we owe them something more than a debt of gratitude. We are not asked to "give until it hurts,'' but to contribute our mite to a worthy cause. Buy a doughnut and watch the lassie smile. |
