STATE OFFICIALS TO ATTEND TAX MEETING The state board of equalization decided yesterday afternoon that its president, HrU'ham IT. Roberts, and its secretary, William Bailey, shall go to the twelfth annual conference of the National Tax association, to be held at the I.a Palle hotel, in Chicago. June 1(3. .The conference confer-ence was to have been held in St. l,ou:s In November last, but was postponed several times on account of the influenza epidemic. The importance of taxation and its bearing on reconstruction problems, however, how-ever, has led to the decision to hold the conference even at this late date. Salt Lritke will make a bid for the next annual an-nual meeting or one in the near future. It was mentioned prominently for tho Twel rtii conference, but wartime conditions condi-tions on the ruiiroad led first to tho choice of St. Louis, and somewhat shrilly shri-lly r considerations to the selection of Chicago.
