Show EARLY PIONEER DIES ' OF HEART DISEASE Special to The Tribune. BRIGKAM CITY, May 19. Daniel L. Hig'.ey, an early pioneer of Utah, died at his home in this city yesterday morning, morn-ing, following a week's illness, of heart trouble. Mr. Higley was born In Illinois on September Sep-tember 25, 1850, and came to Utah when 11 years of aye, walking the entire distance dis-tance across the plains. The family first loca ted at Farming ton, and after a few years' residence at that place they re moved to Curlew valley, Boxelder county, coun-ty, where they lived until 1SS5. Mr. Higley married Miss Nancy Turpin of southern Utah, April 6, 1S70, and during dur-ing the year 1SS5 they removed to Brig-ham Brig-ham City, where they had continued to reside. Mrs. Higley preceded her hus-mand hus-mand in death last January, Influenza causing her demise. Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Higley, nine of whom survive their parents. par-ents. Thev are Mrs. Silas Thompson of Holbrook, Idaho; William Higley of Bur-ley, Bur-ley, Idaho; Charles and Jese Higley of Black Pine, Idaho; Clifford Higley of Oakley, Oak-ley, Idaho; Mrs. Lloyd Ralph of Rockland, Rock-land, Idaho; Mrs. J. C. Walters, Mrs. Henry Hoist and Mrs. John Sackett of Brigham City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Fourth ward chapel and Interment will be made In the City cemetery. |
