Show MILLS COMPLETELY SUSPENDED IN OHIO DISTRICT YOUNGSTOWN, O., Sept. 23. Within almost twenty-four hours after the nation-wide strike of suel workers began union leaders had achieved their initial success in the Youngstown district proper. prop-er. They had brought about complete suspension of operation in every mill in the Mahoning valley, calling 44,000 men away from their work. "We have 99 per cent of the men employed em-ployed In the various steel plants out on strike at present," declared Secretary S. T. Hammersmark tonight. The last company to capitulate was the Youngstown Sheet & Tube company, probably the largest independent concern in the entire country, which employed 15,000 men.
