Show JORGENSEN ISSUES BATTALION MEMO A memorandum showing the minimum strength of an infantry regiment before it may he recognized by the federal army authorities was . prepared yesterday by Major Fred Jorgensen. adjutant general of Ctah. Major Jorgensen announces that the battalion headquarters for two of the three battalions to -be In the regiment of infantry now forming have not been definitely def-initely determined, nor has the numbering number-ing of those battalions, nor the lettering of the line companies. The first battalion, A. B, C and D companies, will all be located at Salt Lake City, and will have its headquarters headquar-ters here, as will the headquarters company, including the band, the machine ma-chine gun company and the supply company. com-pany. Another battalion will have companies com-panies at Logan, Erigham, Ogden and Kaysville. A third battalion will have companies stationed a t Mount Pleasant, Tooele and two at Provo. The numbers to be in the sanitary detachment de-tachment to make it of minimum strength have not been definitely determined. |
