Show NEVADA MAN IS GIVEN HIGH HONOR Private William H. Garrison, signal corps platoon, 101st infantry, son of Mrs. I. NT. Garrison of Pioche, Nev., has been awarded the distinguished service cross for extraordinary heroism in action near Chateau Thierry, France, July 20th and 23rd, 1918. Private Garrison displayed great personal bravery and skill in maintaining main-taining telephone lines between the regimental regi-mental commander and the leading battalion bat-talion for more than two days. He patrolled the line continuously and repaired re-paired it when it was cut during bombardment. bom-bardment.
