Mrs. E. T. Barton, wife of Lieulcnai E. T. Barton of Camp Fremont, Ca! died of Spanish influenza in Salt Lali yesterday. Her husband heard of iv illness and then her death, but was pov erless to come to her side because he U had contracted the disease. Mrs. Barton visited her husband at U camp in California and a week ago 't accompanied her on her return to Sa Lake. He went back to duty at oik, Mrs. Barton fell sick with Spanish infl-enza infl-enza shortly after his departure. Ti lieutenant was notified, but word was r-ceived r-ceived that he had also rontracted t: disease and was seriously ill. Mrs. Barton was 13 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Abbe, 16D B street. She was married to Lif-tenant Lif-tenant Barton in Salt Lake in 1916. S is survived by three brothers, Louis , Jr., of Tremonton, Utah, Lawrence A bott of Salt Lake and E. M. Abbott, jv a medical student at Cleveland, Oh; three sisters.
