| Show A K funeral of JH J barren tins been for headquarters W T sherman post no 6 dept of utah G A R sept 17 1895 special order no 3 the death of comrade M J barrett senior vice commander of the dept of utah and officer of the day of this post is hereby announced comrades of this post will assemble at the post room on thursday sept 19 1895 at a m all comrades as near i as may be will wear the G A R uniform memorial badges and white gloves the cora will wear side arma draped as required by the regulations the post will march to the residence of tho late comrade and escort the remains to the third ward meeting house where appropriate services will be held at 11 a m the post will take position in advance of the dearee left in front after services as above the post will take charge of the funeral ceremony proceeding to the cemetery where the usual exercises of the G A R will take place col J H denhalter of the utah national guard ia requested to furnish an escort from the forces under his command which escort will take po position on the left of the G A R in reverse order which will place them in the advance all old soldiers military orders or associations of every kind are invited to participate all the comrades of this post are expected to ae present and pay the last tribute of respect to the memory of our deceased comrade by order J H WILLIAMS A ada t commander |
