Show M'ADOO REQUESTS LOCAL CO-OPERATION William M. Bailey, secretary of the state board of equalization, presented to the board of county commissioners yesterday yes-terday a letter from W. G. McAdoo, director direc-tor general of railroads, requesting that the concurrence of the railroad administration adminis-tration be obtained in all instances where work is to be undertaken by the state, county or municipality of any sort, which work would entail expense to any railroad under government control. The board of commissioners acceded to a request that copies of the letter be sent to all towns and school districts in the county and ordered the copies sent. The purpose is to conserve labor and materials, ma-terials, according to the text of the letter, let-ter, and the government reserves the right to determine whether or not it will participate in standing the costs of any improvement. |
