G applied for and and waa granted a license to bell liquor at retail at the diamond saloon A communication aiom street supervisor alired to the the city needed a new wagon was referred to the committee on and alleys and maggie stewart notified the council that a certain water bos located on third street between J and K streets was in such a condi lion aa to be detrimental to the property of tha petitioners petition ers and that if it was not repaired they would ba under the ne cassity of removing it referred to the committee on irrigation communication to the president and city council I 1 again desire to call your attention cafter remaining comparatively silent on this subject since january to the condition of the cita cemetery I 1 am proud in being able to state that many improvements both ot a and public nature haro been made in the last year that an increased in terest on the part of all our thia matter la vary noticeable I 1 am now of the opinion that we cannot consistently deiy longer to consider the propriety and feasibility of extending the water mains to the aeme tery lor the following reasons first thail believe the citizens and Sax pay era of this municipality are ready and willing lor and will manifest themselves by assisting in candying this laudable enterprise to a cam ion second I 1 am of the opinion that when the by atom ia completed it will aid very materially from a financial standpoint our whole water ter I 1 therefore recommend that the extension of the water system to the city cemetery be taken up at once S mayor considerable
