FRENCH ADVANCE NORTH OF THE AISNE CAPTURING TOWNS PARIS. Oct. 11. French troops last night advanced in the region north of the Aisne and captured the towns of Chivy and Moulins and then pushed on beyond, the French "war office announced today. Italian troops reached a point south of Courtecon on the Chemin-des-Dames, which highway th French have gained possession of. as far as the heights of Ccrny-en-Laonnois. In the Champagne French troops crossed the river Suippe and eained a foot ire between St. Etienne and Poait-sur-Suippe as well as at Warmeriville, Yandetre and St. Masmes. Farther east the French are pursuing the Germans, who are in retreat. On the front west of the Argonne forest for-est French infantry lias captured Semide and Mont St. Martin. The French also stormed Corbon and Brieres.
