This meeting was one of a series of similar meetings which will be held throughout the Utah Power and Light company's territory ter-ritory during the next few weeks. U. P. & L. OUTLINES YEAR'S SALES PLAN The Utah Power and Light Company's 1939 program of sales activities was presented to salespeople sales-people and other members of the company's Binlgham division at a meeting held in Bingham Thursday. Speakers were W. A. Huckins, Sales M'anager; M. L. Cummlngs, Advertising & Sales Promotion Manager; J. F. McAllister, Manager Man-ager Residential Sales; K. W. Browning, Assistant Manager Residential Re-sidential Sales; Miss Nancy Finch, Director Home Service; L. B. Gawan, Manager Commercial Sales; Sal-es; J. H. Shaw, Asst. Manager Commercial Sales; D. H. Hutchinson, Hutch-inson, Manager Industrial Sales; George Hihler, Mauager Binghanl Division; W. L. Faddis, Sales Manager Bingham Division. Mr. Huckins briefly outlined the company's sales activities and results for the past four years and outlined the general plams for the coming year. Mr. Cumminigs outlined the advertising ad-vertising plans for 1939, stressing stress-ing the value that already has been received from advertising In the past and stating that the company's plans 'for the coming year include consistent efforts to secure even greater effectiveness. He stated that newspapers will continue to be the company'c major advertising medium. He assured the salespeople of ample advertising support. Mr. McAllister called attention to the company's growth in residential resi-dential service, pointing out the downward trend in rates and the upward trend in use of electricity, stressing tbe 'fact . that customers are now receiving much more for their electric service dollar than |
