Show TO BUILD ELECTRIC RAILROAD INTO UTAH j Special to The Tribune. GRAND .TT'NCTION", Colo., May 22. At an enthusiastic meeting held here yesterday yes-terday Alonzo M. Schmidt was elected president of the Western Slope Railway, Development & Investment company, the principal object of which is to secure finances fi-nances to build an electric line from Grand Junction to "Vernal, Utah, and the Uinta basin. The other officers elected were as follows: C. P. McCarv, vice president; W. A. Marsh, treasurer; J. . Barclay, secretary. J. H. Rankin, A. R. Sampliner and IT. R. Ridley are the remaining re-maining members of the board. The company will be incorporated and has an initial capital of $4000 paid up stock. This will be used In an effort to interest capital in the proposed elect ric line and to aid any other railway projects deemed advisable. |
