Show Records Are Broken. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Aug. 8. All previous yearly records of the Ogden fire department are in a fair way to be broken by the 1915 showing, if the activities of the pant seven months are maintained for the balance bal-ance of the year. One hundred and sixty-one alarms have been responded to up to the present time, as compared to 1S7 for the twelvemonths of 1914. There were fifty-three fires in July and that ratio fa showing no falling off for the present month. The firemen responded I to six alarms on Saturday, In spite of the many alarms the fire loss for the year has been comparatively negligible. There has been but one serious fire during the vear, that which followed an explosion at the plant of the I'tah Milling company, Lincoln avenue and Tweuty-fourth stret. I . |
