Show PATHFINDER AUTOS GIVEN BIG (111 Cheering Crowds Line the Route; Reach Hurricane Tomorrow. Special to The Tribune. CEDAR CITY, Sept. 7. Beaver and Iron counties went on record today as willing to do everything possible to make the Yellowstone-Grand canyon highway a success. An enthusiastic mass meeting meet-ing was held at Beaver City and a resolution reso-lution to perfect and maintain the road through the county was adopted unanimously. unani-mously. Similar action was taken at Parowan in Beaver county today and the residents of Cedar City promised their co-operation at a meeting tonight. The party has been accorded a cordial reception all along the line. " People line the highway to cheer and offer fruii to the scouts. The rouds from Holden to Fillmore and from Parowan to Ceda r City are the best so far traveled. The party crossed Wild Dog can von at an altitude, of 6300 feet without trouble. The Buckhorn flat offered the most serious obstacles and the roads there are very poor. Every member of the party is enthusiastic en-thusiastic and enjoying the trip. The women of the pa rty laugh at the slight hardships. The party will take luncheon at St. George tomorrow and slop tomorrow tomor-row night at Hurricane. |
