Beheld now recorder becomes a commissioner there are numerous candidates Including H Warren Smith, present deputy In the office Thomas Hull Alex Buchanan Gordon Snow B O Ellsworth Frank R. Chrlstensen I M Fisher and others. This position probably will be filled as soon as tbe commission Is organized Applicants for other positions run into the hundreds When Commissioner Shearman arrived at his office yesterday he found a pile of mall a foot high await lng him and most of the letters were from aspirants to office The new cits- officials will not take office January 1, a reported yesterday but win be sworn in at noon of next Monday January No ceremony what ever is planned lor tne occasion Mayor elect Ferry Commissioners elect Echeld and Green and Auditor elect E. A.
