Show TRAIN JUMPS TRACK; SIX PERSONS injured; KANSAS CITY, Sept. 22. Six persons per-sons were injured when Chicago, Eock island & Pacific passenger tram No. 24 was derailed near Yale, Mo., twenty- j five miles east of here. . W. L. Williams, engineer, and Fred ' Mayer, fireman, both of Eldon Mo., ! were fatally injured, it was believed. ! Four passengers, George Mullen of Ch.il-1 licothe. Mo., and Arthur Anthony, J. ( A. Hamilton and Mrs. F. W. Paund, all of Kansas City, Kan., also were injured. in-jured. ; Several hundred feet of tho road-; bed, undermined by heavy rains, gave i wav under the weight of the train, ' which was running at full speed. The : engine, baggage car and one coach wero overturned. The train was of solid steel equipment. j |
