A dispatch to the Daily Telegraph states that tho steamer Harpolian has been torpedoed in the English channel. Forty-one members of her crew were rescued. Three are dead on tho vessel. The collier Deptford was sunk today off Scarborough, either by a mine or a torpedo. Oue life was lost. MONTEVIDEO, Feb. 24. The German steamer Gotha, loaded with provisions for the German auxiliary cruiser Kronprinz Vilhelm. has been captured by a British cruiser, according to reliable advices, and taken to the Falkland islands. The steamer Gotha was last reported re-ported as leaving Buenos Airos February 2 with supplies. She is a vessel of 6653 toifs, and belongs to the North German Lloyd Steamship Steam-ship company.
