SO much interest has been displayed in "The Battle of the Sexes" or "The Single Standard for Men and Women," which has been the feature all week at the Garrick. that the management announces an-nounces that this big photo-drama of a certain phase of New York life will be shown at the Garrick again today. Told in Ave reels, this is the latest of the sex problem offerings, for the screen proceeds to demonstrate without gloves the utter degradation of any theory justifying the husband In conduct contrary to the marriage mar-riage vow. It shows the happy family of a successful New York business man before he fell under the spell of a woman. Then it takes one through a certain phase of New York night life, meanwhile depicting the grief and anguish of the familv of the transgressor, until the climax cli-max is reached where the daughter of the erring man concludes that the only solution solu-tion of the trouble is the shooting of the woman responsible for it all.
