Show FLOOD AT FOUNTAIN GREEN some farmers losa their entire crop land colored with debris correspondence Ferar Aix august 17 1891 Last Saturday a terrible flood descended from what is known as hig hollow and spreading ita mighty force over the farming land southeast of town devastated and lay waste a vast amount of grain rubbish has been piled upon the land in large quantities and much that was once level has become rough and uneven it was a terrible scene nice standing grain was buried in mud grain that was cut and bound floated in the flood and was soon destroyed the extent of the damage will exceed two thousand dollars many farmers here have lost nearly their entire crop one farmer lost all except a part of one acre of wheat while another man loat all of bis grain some people here beem to rejoice at the awful destruction aa their grain has not absen destroyed and having no principle he will foolishly smile at the misfortunes f others ZORAM |
