Robert Rob-ert Cameron Bogors, poet and newspaper news-paper publisher, died in his home hore today from the effects of an operation for appendicitis performed two week? ago. Mr. Rogers waa stricken three weeks ago. After the first operation, paralysis paraly-sis set In and a yecond operation was performed. Mr. Rogers wns born in Buffalo, N". Y., and was the son of Sherman Rogers, at one time a member of the same law-firm law-firm with Orover Cleveland. He leaves a widow, three sons and two stepsons whom he adopted. Mr. Rogers wrote the dedicatory ode for the opening of the Buffalo Pan-American Pan-American exposition, and "The Elks ' Eulogy," which has already been adopted by many lodges as part of the annual lodge of sorrow services. His most famous work, however, was "The Rosary.'' which has been translated into many languages. |
