Nov. 1 Two gasoline launches, bound from Chicago to St Louis, plunged over thc government dam at La. Grange, 111., ninety miles south of here today. Xone of the bodies of thc occupants ,of either boat has been recovered. The launches wcro thc "A. B. Moore" and the "Five Dollar Bill," and left Chicago Saturday morning. The lock tenders heard cries for help and. rushing to the scene, found thc "A. 13. Moore" j hanging upside down from thc lop of thc I dam. Thc "Five- Dollar Bill" was found j in good condition a mile below the dam, The engine was still warm, the boat carrying but a few Inches of water. Searchers lata tonight were unable to recover the boat hanging over the dam and tho engines were removed, togethcr wtth hunting paraphernalia and two suit cases, Tho coroner of Cass countv took charge 01 tho effects, but nothing was found to indicate thc names of any of thc victims. nivermcn arc dragging- for the bodies, ST. Mooro" and "Five Dollar Bill" plunged over the government govern-ment dam this mornlntr on their way from Chicago to St. Louis, stated tonight to-night that William M. Moore of Chicago, owner of tho "A. B. Moore" and three other men arc known to havo been drowned. Watch era on the shore say they saw Moore struggling in thc water below tho dam until he sank.
