Waters, former man-ngcr man-ngcr of .the house, to four well known business men of Utah: J. C. Dugan of the .Merchants' bank of Salt Lake, Daniel Ilamcr, a well known, local attorney: at-torney: David Mattson, state Ireasnroi, and W. IT. Shearman, city auditor. The papers wcro signed lto yesterday afternoon, but the amount of the consideration con-sideration was not mude publ'c 1'Tjid Halverson retains his interest in he hotel company and will meet with tlo new owners today to decide the question ques-tion of a manager to succeed Mr. a-torB, a-torB, who. having disposed of his in- ' tcrcst, will retire. The Kcnyon Hotel company, incorporated incor-porated about two years ago, operates tho hotel and Maxim '3 cafe at Second South and Muin streots, the cafe being condupted under" a subsidiary lcaso by E. L Willoy. Tho property is owned bv tho 0. "J. Salisbury estate, but is held by tho United Cigar Stores company com-pany under a leaso which has yot ninety-six years to run. Upon that portion of the building occupied by tihe hotel and cafe, the Kenyon Hotel company holds a lease good for eight and one-half one-half years.. The men who take over tho control are not-yct ready to say what chances or improvements may be made in tho immediate future. |
