C, Nelson, state superintendent of public instruction, instruc-tion, and Mathonlhah Thomas, of Salt Lake, who Is an authority on Irrigation law, were the principal speakers at the farmers' roundup today. Their lectures were similar to those given at tho Logan roundup and both speakers were popular with the big gathering of farmers who are hero for the conference. Superintendent Nelson addressed the evening meeting In tho opera house. His subject was, "What Fathers and Mothers May Do for Utah's ISducatlonal System." Sys-tem." He urged co-operation between parents and teachers and asked parents to take an lntorest in what the schools were doing, to visit them and become acquainted ac-quainted with tho instructors. Mathonlhah Thomas delivered two lectures lec-tures on Irrigation law, one at the afternoon af-ternoon session and one. at tho evening meeting. Ills evening subject was "Reforms "Re-forms In Law that Affect Agriculture." He proved to bo one of tho most forceful and popular speakers of tho roundup. |
