Adams is said to have tapped his employer's cash register yesterday morning. His bond was llxed at $1000. Joe Long, a partner of Adams, hearing he was wanted by tho police, gavo himself him-self up last night. He was roleascd after af-ter tho victims of the robbery had failed to Identify him. Taylor and Percy Cornforth were the only occupants of the saloon when the banditB entered. One of thorn covered Cornforth and the bartondcr whllo the other stepped into an adjoining room and corralcd four Italians who were playing pool, marching them into tho saloon. They were ordered to got down on their knees. Two of the Italians wore felled to tho floor. Taylor edged hla way behind tho bar towards his revolver. Ho was about to lay his hand on It when one of tho robbers rob-bers vaulted tho bar. hit him across the back of the neck with a butt of a revolver re-volver and forced him into a corner. While one robber searched Cornforth and the kneeling Italians tho other forced Taylor to open the safe, prodding him in the neck with his gun as he worked. Having secured their loot the robbers backed out of tho saloon still covering tho six men with gnna, stole two horses that had been left in front of the saloon and galloped off. |
