The party reached Cisco at 2:30 o'clock with throe machines and will have tho road open for the inspection of the committee of the National Automobile association which will be here about October 6. We expect Utah to sco tho balance of tho road put in shape. GOOD ROADS COMMITTEE. The above telegram from the Good Roads association of Grand Junction indicates that there is considerable activity ac-tivity on tho part of the Grand Junction Junc-tion people to have tho automobile rond come into Utah from that direction. direc-tion. It is understood tho Grand Junction Junc-tion people were promised that a road would bo built from Utah to meet tho Colorado road at tho state lino, but thus far nothing has been done. Evidently the Grand Junction people intend to complete the road to the state line and call upon Utah to fulfill its part of the agreement to finish the road to Salt Lake. This activity has probably been brought about by an announcement an-nouncement that A. L. Westgard of tho American Automobilo association intends in-tends to follow tho route into Salt Lake from the Vernal country mapped and logged last week by Tho Tribuno pathfinder. |
