nielsen was present he ex that he had devoted his whole time and attention to tending ane public grounds of the city he thought that he had kept his agreement according to contract in consequence of having been neglected last year the grounds were in a very poor condition this year and it was impossible for him to get them in as good shape as if they had been properly attended to last year he had been somewhat delayed in cleaning out the weeds from the park on account of storms but he would commence doing so immediately then ensued a long and varied discussion cus sion mr henrichsen did not h nielsen had kept his contract the grounds were in a fearful condition but very little work had been done on the park he then advocated that grasses should be allowed to grow and white clover planted about the trees to form a turf air glazier differed with aen as to the turf there was plenty of time fer that when the grounds were leveled but he did agree with him in that the arounds had been neglected mr maiben had visited the park several and had never seen any one at work there and but very few signs of any work were apparent he also commented on the best plans of park gardening differing from mr henrichsen thes park would not be a park for ten years yet and there was plenty of time for the formation of the turf the contract was read and several questions asked by liddiard and dixon which were answered by henrichsen and glazier mr glazier moved that the contract be and the city take other steps for the cleaning and caring of the tark and other city property alie motion business the trade of the store crew commensurate with the improvements last fall the old incorporation of the institution was done away with and a new one was effected with andrew eggertson Egger and a new brick are three stories high had been erected with william H brown as president and andrew eggertson Eg as superintendent the new institution has been making rapid strides the quarters for
