Show Local Happenings s Dr. and Mrs. Paul S. Richards and daughters, Lenore and Ethel, and son, Paul, left Monday evening even-ing for a two-week's vacation trip that will take them to San Francisco, where they will visit the Golden Gate exposition, and up the Pacific coast to Portland and Seattle. They plan to return home by way of Couer d' Alene, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hocking and daughter, Janice, left Sunday Sun-day for a week's vacation at Gray's lake, Idaho. Mrs. Will Morris of Spanish Fork visited this week with Mrs. Gene Milner. Mrs. Bee Harter and Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor of Los Angeles were guests last Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Starley. Guests four days of Mr. and Mrs. Kermith Isbell of Copper-ton, Copper-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kepple of Los Angeles left Wednesday morning for their home. Mrs. J. J. Barrett. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Snow of Apex Mine and children, Patsy and Dicky, left Saturday to visit two weeks at La Salle, Mesa Verde and touring southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moyeda, Copperfield, are parents of a son born at the Bingham Canyon hospital August 15. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Morley and two daughters, Maurine and Dar-lene, Dar-lene, left Tuesday morning for the San Francisco fair. Mr. and Mrs. D. Gonzales of 110 Carr Fork are parents of a daughter born August 14 at the family home. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Carter and son, Dickie, and Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Thomas of Copperfield came home Wednesday from two weeks' vacation spent in Portland, Port-land, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boulder Dam and Bryce and Zions national parks. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Davies and son, Billy, and Mr. and Mrs. Kepple is the former Miss Wuma Rimby, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Rimby of Highland Boy. The couple were married August 6. Mr. Kepple is a graduate of the Leland Stanford Stan-ford university school of law. At 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the South Jordan chapel an M.I.A. union meeting for all ward and stake boards will be held. Mrs. Larry Bowman is recovering recover-ing satisfactorily from an appendectomy ap-pendectomy performed Friday at the Bingham Canyon hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Chad-wick Chad-wick and daughters, Bonnie and Bessie and Vera Ann, left Tuesday Tues-day evening to vacation two weeks in Yellowstone park. After three weeks spent visiting visit-ing Mrs. Frank Carnahan in Wede City, Mo., Mrs. Harry Car- Glen Davies and daughters, Donna Don-na and Joy Dean, came back Saturday from a vacation at Sun Valley and Mackay, Idaho. The group visited the Craters of the Moon, site of which is a proposed national monument. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Sorenson of Lark announce the birth of it daughter born August 8 at the family home. Mr. and Mrs. George Knudsen and son, Briggie, of Copperton and Mrs. Ida Mugfur left Thursday Thurs-day to vacation ten days at As pen, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Alger Baum left Wednesday morning to attend a convention of Metropolitan Life Insurance salesmen and the Golden Gold-en Gate exposition. Mr. Baum won the trip as a high ranking salesman in the west coast territory ter-ritory of the company. Miss Maxine and Miss June Henson of St. Louis, cousins of Hubert Dowd, arrived last Friday Fri-day to visit at the Dowd home until Tuesday, when they left for San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. John Martinez of Highland Boy are receiving congratulations on the birth of a son August 9. Mrs. Nick Fenton of Copper-field Copper-field and Mrs. Irvin Stillman are leaving today for Gooding, Idaho, to attend the wedding Sunday of Miss Beverly Terry and Clyde Hickok of Twin Falls; Idaho. , , Colleen Creedon, daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Creedon, returned re-turned Monday from a week viit in Salt Lake City with Betty Bet-ty Lou Piercey, daughter of Me and Mrs. J. K. Piercey. . nahan and Mr. and Mrs. jvianoy Schroll in Sarcoxie, Mo., and Mrs. George Prigmore in Joplin, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Prig-more Prig-more and sons Dan and Don and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Prigmore returned home Monday. Mrs. Laura Tampakis, daughters daugh-ters Ellen and Katherine, left Tuesday morning to visit at Pocatello. William Gray and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parker returned Tuesday Tues-day from Denver, Colorado, where they attended the convention conven-tion of International Mine Mill and Smelter workers last week. Mr. Parker is vice president and Mr. Gray financial secretary of Underground Miner's Union No. 2. Mrs. Gray and children visited relatives in Fruita, Colo. Mrs. M. J. Hansen and two children chil-dren of Ogden returned home Wednesday after visiting a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. |
