Show GENERAL CLEANING UP. Club Women Have Dono Work That Promises to Bring Good Results. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN". April 9. With the studenta of every public school In the city recruited recruit-ed as members of the League of Good Citizenship of Ogden. tho plans of the club women for observance of "Civic Days" on Friday and Saturday of this week are materializing In a way which, it Is believed by those Interested, will bring great results. Prizes were awarded today In the contest con-test for students of the sub-high school on the best essay from the subject, "Why Ogden Needs a Municipal Cleaning Day. ' The first prize w:ls awarded to Stanley Chambers and tho second prize to Miss Helen Mitchell. The Judges were Mrs. J-T. J-T. Hurst, Prof. F. M. Drlggs and Prof. W. W. Henderson. In order to become a member of the new civic league It was necessarv for each child to promise to clean up his or her yard on Friday and Saturdav. in addition to this the club women will send out Thursday a letter to the parents of each child asking them to further tho cauc by encouraging tho children. |
