Show BRITISH- COLUMBIA DIVIDEND DECLARED The directors of the British Columbia Copper company, at a mooting held yesterday, yes-terday, declared the regulur quarterly dividend of It per cent, payable January 1.1. This dividend makes tho third since July, when payments wcro resumed after a year's time. The Z tier cent dividend calls for the payment of $7S,75C, say Thompson, Towle fc. Co. Owing to a delay in tho arrival of tho November report, the production and earnings for that month aro not yet available. For October the former amounted to 1.022,000 pounds and the latter lat-ter to ?I5,000 The management will make no prediction regarding November results, wishing to wait the final figures. They state, however, that the company is earning at the present tlmo In excess of its dividend. The British Columbia company Is now operating its plant at full capacity, which Is placed at 2S00 tons of ore per day. From S00 to 000 tons Is coming from the New Dominion properly. During October there was treated the largest tonnago over handled by the companv. Tho trouble which British Columbia has been experiencing and which has b.ocn responsible for lowering the grade of the ore, namely, tho sloughing off, of tho walls at the mlno and allowing waste to become mixed with the ore. has shown Improvement nccordlng to the management, manage-ment, and it is expected that better results re-sults will bo obtained in the future. The compuny Is keeping- up Its drilling campaign cam-paign in the vicinity of the Volght property prop-erty and five or six diamond drills are now operating. |
