Show IRON BLOSSOM AND COLORADO OPERATIONS The Eureka, Reporter says: "Even In Tintlc. where big mines arc nol at all uncommon, a properly with an earning capacity of about 5120,000 a month must bo looked upon with considerable wonder and surprise. The ore now being shipped from tho Iron Blossom mine at this place is bringing lhat amount of money. Tho present tonnage exceeds 300 tons a day and while some of the ore Is worth as much as ?50 per ton It is safe to say that tho entire output is averaging up anywhere between 512 and 515 a ton afler the payment of railroad and smelter charges. From the mine's earnings, of approximately 120.000 a month, must bo deducted the operation expenses, which arc not high considering tho large amount of ore which la being produced. "Two cars of very good ore. mined from the new oro body which a few weeks ago was opened up on the 300, level of the No. 2 shaft at tho Colorado, were sent out. this week. This bunch of ore appears to be an offshoot from the big- deposit, from which the mine has been shipping lor a number of years, and. has already been developed sufficiently" to Indicate that It Is a pretty nice find- That which has already been placed upon tho cars will carry about 30 per cent lead and from forty-five to fifty ounces In silver. The ore seems to be making Into new country, to the east and a little below the big stopes of the mine, and for that reason there is a chance for It to become even more of a surprise."
