April 1 The feature of tho cotton markot during the week was the frequonl outbursts of heavy soiling, particularly in the July options. This encouraged bear attacks and caused recessions re-cessions In prices of between 10 to -0 points. A small group of traders often used by tho big dealers are estimated to havo sold something llko 200,000 bales of Mav and Julv this week between them on balance. The fluctuations throughout the week have bcon of tho most erratic character. Last Saturday May closed at 11.53c and Julv 11.33c. By tho middle of the week May was forced down to 14.20c nnd July to 13.97c. from which there was a sharp rally of 19 to 24 points with May going to 14.44c by the opening of tho market yestorday and July to ll.lGc. So much selling pressure pres-sure developed during the late trading vestcrdav. however, that the market closed weak at 1 1.30c for May and at. 14.02e for Julv. with prices being offered fi points lower In tho curb trading.
