Show FIREMAN'S FUlfill LARGELY ATTENDED , Many Friends Pay Tribute to Memory of James Lafayette Walker. The funeral of James Lafayette Walker, Walk-er, plpcman and auxiliary driver of the hose wagon at station No. 2, of the local fire department, who died of typhoid-pneumonia typhoid-pneumonia Friday night, was held from the Iliff Methodist, church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The services were conducted by the Rev. Ransom P. Nichols, and were under the auspices of the Salt Lake City Firemen's Fire-men's Relief association, of which Walker was a member. t The entire force from station No. 2 attended the funoral. riding in the hoso wagon on which Walker had worked. The wagon and tho trappings of tho horses were somberly draped and on the wagon were placed the many beautiful floral offerings from friends. One of these was a beautiful Maltese cross, sent bv tho members of tho fire department. The pallbearers were firemen who had' been associated with Mr. Walker In his work on the department. ,They were Lieutenant James Paul. Asa Hancock. Robert Lee, John Hansen, William Schade and Carl Odenwalker. Burial was in City cemetery. |
