Show FREEMAN STREET STORM SEWER IS COUNCIL PROJECT A storm sewer for Freeman street, planned to divert sprinig flood waters from damaging property pro-perty and washing debris into Freeman and Dixon, was discussed dis-cussed at city council meeting Wednesday night. The drainage project will cost J approximately $1000, the amount set up in the 1939 city budget for this Improvement, city council members estimate. An attempt will be made to get WPA assistance as-sistance for labor costs. Councilman Art Sorenson reported re-ported that the police alarm signal sig-nal system is expected to be in- 8talled,and in working order by February 1. Payroll for the last half Janu- j ary amounted to $1005.25 was approved. Kenneeott Copper corporation shall pay $500 to the city for the three-quarters of an acre which Is being disconnected from the city at the lower end of Blngham-Copperfleld Blngham-Copperfleld tunnel, a decree entered en-tered in Third district court Wednesday Wed-nesday provided. ..... |
