Davis, general manager of the Round Mountain Mining company, has Issued Is-sued his rcgulnr annual report on tho affairs af-fairs of tho organization. In regard to the past year's worlc, he states that S09S feet of development work was done, the work being confined largely to the 600. 700. 800 and 900 levels. Tho report then says: "Your company now has 15,360 tons of ore blocked out ready for sloping, showing show-ing an Increase In our ore reserves over that shown last year of 5I5S tons. The value of this ore based upon the average recovery as shown by mint returns for the past year $11.63 per ton, would be S527.536.S0. As much of the orn now exposed ex-posed Is of lower grade than that milled during the past year. I do not feel warranted war-ranted In estimating Ihc gross value of the ore In sight by the above figure, but from the results obtained from ore milled from the footwall section. I feel warranted warrant-ed In saying; that tho average value of the ore exposed Is between 59 and $10 per ton. In order that your company mav mill this grade of ore at as great a not profit per month as that obtained from tho higher grade ores. It has been decided to Increase our milling plant, and contracts have been let for machinery which will Increase the capacity from 100 tons per dny. the present output, to 150 tons per day. By mining and milling larger bodies of ore. wo hope to considerably consid-erably decrease the costs per ion as shown for tho past year. Thnl those costs can be reduced Is evidenced from the fact that during tho month of March we milled 3625 tons at a cost of 34.51 per ton. as against 2S50 tons mined and milled in February at a cost of $5,859 per ton. "During the year your company has mined and milled 33.&59.0 tons of ore of an average value of 511.63 per ton. of a gross value of $393,561.03. nnd a net value above mining, milling and dovelopinont costs and general expenses of 5l02.S0n.o1. with miscellaneous earnings of $1213.74. thus giving your company a total net profit for the year of $191,049.25. This shows a. net Increase over the earnings of the year previous of S16.959.S0. The cost per ton was $5019. as compared with $6.07 last year, showing a decrease In cost of $0,161 per ton. "Besides paying four quarterly dividends divi-dends of 4 cents per share on tho issued stock, amounting to $131. ISO. 97. your company com-pany has. during the past year, purchased 531.S00 shares of the Round Mountain Combination Mining company stock at a cost of $16,035.10; and has purchased for 60,000 shares of your company's treasury stock, the Black Hawk lode mining claim (patented) nnd three fractional claims. Practically all of the stock of the Round Mountain Combination Mining company has been taken ovor. This property comprised com-prised tho Blue .Tay No, 4, Hobo Fraction. O. K. Fraction. Blue Jay No. 2. and the White Horse Fraction. In all a total of approximately thirty acres adjoining your company's property on the cast. Your company has added very materially to the worth of Its holdings by tho acquisition acquisi-tion of thcpe properties. This gives to your company a total of 222.079 acres of patented ground, and a total of 121.625 acres unpatented, making in all 313.701 acres owned by your company. During the year your company has received patent pat-ent to what was formerly known as the Round Mountain Extension group of claims, and has ajso received final receiver's re-ceiver's receipt for the Great Western group of clalniSt "During the year your company has added to lis mine and mill equipment new machinery at a cost of 531.1SS.36, In October, the Round Mountain Sphinx and Round Mountain Red Top companies questioned the extra-lateral rights of your company to portions of our vein on Its dip after passing out of our exterior boundary lines. Fooling that tho time had come to assert our rights, and have them settled for all time, we promptly began suit to quiet title to these extra-lateral extra-lateral portions of the vein, and the trial Is set for May 2, and we feel confident of favorable results, and believe that during tho coming year your company will be free from all litigation.
