congress postponed from ladt month convened today to day in the broadway tabernacle of which dr win M taylor is pastor this is the largest and most important temperanc congress ever held in this country the call was addressed to all persons opposed to the saloon and consequently there are representatives not only tem perance organizations organisations churches and but of labor clubs farmers alliances and other organizations the call was inada broad with the view to various organizations meeting abid giving their opinions in the hope that they coald find a common ground of agreement which would enable them to enlarge their field of operation in their campaign against the liquor traffic the opening address was delivered ine famous advocate general nealdow of maine his subject being
