the sum of 20 ba allowed for ilia services in removing an old house report accepted city attorney W H king reported that the tax cases now pending in the courts had been continued for the term by mutual consent awaiting a decision by the supreme court in cases city marshall john A brown pre dented his report for the month of april showing that 28 aneses had been made 19 head of stock impounded is hereby authorized and empowered to make quit claim deeds to correct any and all errors or om mission in title heretofore given by the city where the same relates only to form but not where the city now claims any title either legal or equitable petitions for deeds from wm burbeck and robert birkin were referred to the mayor for execution mr maihen presented a bill for tha organization and regulation of a fire department part ment for provo city which was read the first time by its title and was placed on file for its second reading mr maiben called up a resolution having for iti object the bonding of provo city in the amount of for the purpose of inaugurating a system of water works in this city he moved that the resolution be placed on its passage the resolution was read the first time and passed its second reading after which mr maiben moved that the res juison be put on its third reading by sections which carried pending its third reading mr dunn moved that further consideration be postponed until the next meeting the resolution granting a franchise to provo city railway co was then taken up and passed its first reading further consideration was postponed until
