Show NEW IDAHO TOWN: LEMHI GOES "WET" Special to The Tribune. SALMON CITY. Sept 4. The salo or lots in the new town of Loadore, on the Gilrnore & Pit tsburir railroad, began on Monday. Lcadore half-way between Salmon and Armstcad, the present terminals ter-minals of the G. & P. line, Thero are mines ready lo ship along the entire length of the Lemhi valley. Leadore will bo a division point, and the Junction for tho lino lo Gilrnore. Mining, farming and stockraising are the cnief industries. Fires In tho neighborhood of Junction destroyed thousands of acres of good feed range last week. The estimated sweep of the lire was ten miles wide. There have also been several lircs in the Lemhi rango, northwest of Junction. Voting V'.'it the primaries on Monday brought out about SO per cent of those registered. The registration for the primaries pri-maries was light, being 75 per cent of those who will vote at the November election. Full returns for Lemhi county are not yet at hand, but it Is evident that the "wet" candidates have secured tho nominations, Irrespective of parly affiliations. |
