| Show blinded for life by a keife yesterday a twelve year old boy of evanston whose name could not be learned met with a fearful accident he was engaged in cutting off the top of a sack to make himself a work apron his sister was helping him by holding the sack he was using a largo jack knife and in straining to cut through a seam the knife slipped upward and struck him across both eyes cutting them out he was brought down to ogden and taken to the continental hotel salt lake city where dr Pinkerton meet and attend him there are fears that the boy will bo totally blind he was accompanied by his mother and the father had been telegraphed for LATER by telephone message from salt lake at two this morning it was learned that the unfortunate boys name was george hi clark and that he will lose but one eye it being thought the other can be saved tha father had arrived and both parents were with their injured boy ho was resting comfortably at the time ogden standard oct 12 |
