W. T. AY LAND, SR.'S, DEATH IS DUE TO OLD AGE A telcphono message was received Sunday uight shortlj after S:30 o'clock announcing the death of W. T. Ayland, Sr., of Bountiful, father of Captain W. T. Ayland, Jr., ai the fire department in this city. Tho message gave tho information that Mr. Ayland. Sr., died at 0:10 o'clock, his son being at his bedside at tho time. The causo of death was old age. Tho deceased was S4 vears old and was born in England. He" came to Utah in 1SG5, aud had lived hore over since, being well known in this city, as well as many other cities and towns in the state. Tho four daughters of Cantain Av-laud Av-laud had been iu . Bountiful all day bv tho bedside of thoir sick grandparent, and had left for this city but thirty minutes previous to his deaht. As yet definite arrangements for tho funeral have not bcin made.
