Oct. 15 Richmond Sheffield Doment, who served as surveyor-general of Utah undor President Cleveland, died Sunday of pneumonia at his home. During Du-ring a portion of his If fo he engaged In literary work. Mr. Dement was prominent promi-nent In Mnsonlc circles, and at ono time served an orator of tho grand lodge of Masons In Illinois. Mx. Dement Is survived sur-vived by his widow, three daughters nncfy a grand daughter, Mrs. Harriet Dement Packard, Miss Pearl and Ruth Dement of Chicago and Mrs. Jack Sumner of Schuyler. Neb. $
