Show LABOR CONDITIONS IN STOCKHOLM IMPROVING STOCKHOLM, Aug. fi. The tense situation sit-uation arising from the general strike proclaimed a few days ago seemed to be relaxing tonight. Tho grave diggers returned re-turned to work today and dissension is apparently relaxing in the ranks of the other strikers. The employers of some of the largest plants In Stockholm announce that their men will return to work Monday. Mon-day. it is reported that the Central Federation Federa-tion "of Trades Unions has requested the government to mediate in the crisis. M. von Sydow, president of the Employers' Em-ployers' Federation, declared tonight, however, that intervention by the government gov-ernment would bo without result as the differences were too great to bo settled !n such a mnnner. Tho national labor union published a statement disapproving the strike of the electric light and gas workers, |
