Miss Home alleges In her complaint that she was under contract to work for Mrs. Brandwln as designer and trimmer sixteen six-teen weeks, but that on account of Mrs. Stevenson's athletic build and mean disposition dis-position she was In mortal terror of her and afraid to return to her work for fear of coming Into contact with her again, leaving four weeks of her contract unfulfilled. She notified Mrs. Brandwln by mall, she says, that she stood ready to fulfill the unexpired part of the contract if arrangements could bo made whereby she coultl do the work without being thrown In proximity with the athletic mil. liner, but Mrs. Brandwln gave her no answer. an-swer. The contract between her and Ms. Brandwln called for her transportation from Now York here and return and sixteen six-teen weeks' employment tit $3.1 a week, and she Is suing for salary-for the four unexpired weeks and $100 for her expenses ex-penses back to Gotham. A Dangerous Woman. Mrs. Stevenson, she says. Is a dangerous danger-ous woman. She assaulted her, she avers, knocked her off her chair, broke her glasses, cut her face, and then threatened threat-ened to throw her out of the window, claiming that she "had It from headquarters" headquar-ters" that sho could do so. It Is not on record, but It Is whispered about the milliner establishment, that Miss Horno went to the mat and took the full count. Upon arising she seized a pair of scissors scis-sors with which to defend herself from another attack, but the courageous and athletic Mrs. Stevenson struck her upon the shoulder again. She-told Mrs. Stevenson Steven-son site would better go home and beat her husband, at the second attack, she says, but made no effort to use the scissors. In speaking of Mrs. Stevenson's physical physi-cal qualities. Miss Home classes her as 1 large and strong. Mrs. Stevenson weighs 175 pounds, sho says, while she Is frail, weighing only 110 pounds. The hearing has not been set, but as Miss Home wishes to return to Now York City at once her deposition was taken Wednesday, to be Introduced whenever when-ever the case is set for trial, without requiring re-quiring her presence.
