S Walker She was of early pioneer pioneer stock her mother having crossed the I plains with her parents with ox teams The They arrived in Utah in September 1857 She re received her schooling in Davis Count County and the College College College Col Col- lege in Logan She married George Riley Chaffin ChaWn April 15 1891 in the Logan Temple lie He died Sept 29 1944 Mrs 1 Chaffin has been a de der voted member of the Church where she has served actively as a counselor in the Relief Society teacher in the Sunday School Primary and the Mutual Improvement As As- She has also served as a Relief Society teacher for or many years She is s one of oJ the few living members of or the first Primary organized by Aurelia Aurclia S. S Rogers in 1878 She is a charter member of or the Senior Ladies' Ladies Literary Club and still attends their meetings Mrs 1 Chaffin is the mother of two sons sans and three daughters daughters daugh daugh- tel's Dr Lawrence Chaffin Los Angeles Russell Chaffin Orinda Calif Mrs Harmon Marmon Peery Pecry Mrs Val Browning and Mrs H H.
